Multiplayer Experience

We envision the game in a collaborative classroom environment where players come together to explore and learn about the game world, having fun through the interactions and minigames. The social aspect keeps players more engaged and excited to play with friends.

Interactive Map

Players get a semi-open world to wander around, filled with structures they can learn facts about Mars from, and interact with their rover buddy for clear explanations, from the environmental aspects to geology on Mars.

M.O.X.I.E

Learn about Oxygen collection from Mars' atmosphere along with an introduction to molecular structures.

NGSS concept: 5.Structure and Properties of Matter: We want players to be introduced to realistic oxygen collection methods currently implemented by NASA on Mars, the Mars Oxygen In-Situ Resource Utilization Experiment, while introducing the basics of the molecular structure of carbon dioxide and how that can be converted into oxygen.

Magnet Retrieval

Using your rover's attached magnet, attract magnetic resources while avoiding and repelling space trash.

NGSS concept: 3-PS2-3 Motion and Stability: Forces and Interactions. We want players to engage with the properties of attraction and repulsion of magnets. At the same time, we want to convey the fact that magnets are actually used on Mars for collection of research material.

Mars Jump

Leap across the Mars Environment while learning about low-gravity mechanics.

NGSS concept: 3-PS2 Motion and Stability: Forces and Interactions. We want players to be introduced to the fact that Mars has lower gravity than on Earth, experiencing that through movement and jumping. We also want to showcase aspects of the Mars environment, like the presence of asteroids.
